About This Race
The Whidbey Island Marathon is a scenic, challenging point-to-point race on Whidbey Island in Washington's Puget Sound. The full marathon is the only race that closes the famed Deception Pass Bridge, offering runners a once-in-a-year opportunity to cross this iconic span. The event includes a marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, and a 1K kids run. Organized by the City of Oak Harbor since 2002, this Boston-qualifying course features rolling hills and breathtaking views of the Pacific Northwest landscape.
