About this race
The Yangon International Marathon runs through Myanmar's largest city during the cool season, with the golden spire of the Shwedagon Pagoda — one of the world's most sacred Buddhist sites — glowing in the pre-dawn light. The flat course winds around the stunning Kandawgyi Lake, past the colonial-era Bogyoke Market, through Chinatown's Latha Township, and along the Inya Lake waterfront. A unique Southeast Asian running experience.
