About This Race
The Aspen Valley Marathon runs through the most glamorous mountain town in America — a world-renowned ski resort and cultural hub nestled at 7,908 feet in Colorado's Elk Mountains. The course winds through Aspen's manicured Victorian downtown, along the Roaring Fork River trail with the Elk Mountain range towering above, past the iconic Maroon Bells (the most photographed mountains in North America), and through the Aspen Music Festival meadows.
