About This Race
The Bayshore Marathon runs along the stunning eastern shore of Long Lake Bay in Traverse City — Michigan's Cherry Capital — in the last days of May when the cherry blossoms have just finished and the orchards are in full leaf. The flat, fast BQ course follows the lakeshore road with sparkling blue bay waters on one side and blossoming cherry and apple orchards on the other, through small harbour towns, and finishes at the Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds.
