About This Race
The Carlsbad Marathon is a Boston-qualifying race set along the beautiful North San Diego County coastline. The rolling course features multiple out-and-back sections through scenic coastal neighborhoods. The event also features a Double Down Challenge where runners can complete both the 5K and the half or full marathon, earning three medals in one day. Organized by In Motion Events, it has become a staple of the Southern California winter racing calendar.
