About This Race
The Charleston Marathon runs through the Holy City — one of America's most historically rich and architecturally beautiful cities. The flat, BQ-friendly course winds past the famous Rainbow Row (the longest stretch of Georgian row houses in the US), along the Battery seawall promenade overlooking the Charleston Harbor and Fort Sumter where the Civil War began, through the French Quarter's narrow antebellum alleyways, and across the historic Ashley River bridge.
