About This Race
The Chattanooga Marathon runs through the Scenic City — one of America's most dramatically beautiful urban landscapes, where the Tennessee River carves through a gorge flanked by Lookout Mountain (famous Civil War battle site and site of the incline railway) and Signal Mountain. The course winds along the Tennessee Riverpark trail, across the historic Market Street Bridge, through the Northshore arts district, and up towards Lookout Mountain's Civil War battlefield ridge.
