About This Race
The Colorado Marathon descends through the Cache la Poudre Canyon — one of Colorado's most spectacular river canyons — on a predominantly downhill, USA TODAY-rated "One of America's Best Marathons" course. Starting high in the Poudre Canyon at 6,500 feet, the course runs along the wild and scenic Poudre River through its sandstone canyon walls, descending nearly 1,000 feet into Fort Collins' vibrant New Belgium craft beer hometown.
