About This Race
The 22nd annual Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon is the largest competitive road race in East Tennessee, growing from 3,302 participants in 2005 to over 6,510 in 2025. The Boston-qualifying course features rolling hills with elevation ranging from 821 to 917 feet. Saturday evening features the 5K starting at 7:00 PM, while Sunday hosts the marathon, half marathon, and 4-person relay starting at 7:30 AM. The event is the premier race of the Knoxville Track Club, with virtual options available for all distances.
