About This Race
The Marrakech Marathon is Africa's most atmospheric and visually stunning marathon — a World Athletics Label race through Morocco's Red City. Starting and finishing at the legendary Jemaa el-Fna square (UNESCO), streets fill with runners winding through the ancient medina's souks, through the royal palmeries, past the Koutoubia mosque minaret, and down olive tree–lined avenues with the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains on the horizon.
