About This Race
The St. Jude Memphis Marathon benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital — making it one of America's most emotionally charged and charitable running events, raising over $11M annually for children's cancer research. The course runs along iconic Beale Street (birthplace of the Blues, home to B.B. King's and W.C. Handy's clubs), along the Mississippi River bluff past Mud Island, across the Hernando DeSoto Bridge with the river's immensity spread below.
