About This Race
The 19th annual Mississippi Blues Marathon starts and finishes at Jackson State University Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. Since the inaugural race in 2008, the event has worked to showcase Jackson and the rich Blues history of the state. The course winds through the capital city with live blues music along the route. The event includes a full marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 10K, 5K, and the BB Kids Half Mile Fun Run. An official Boston qualifier each year, the marathon draws approximately 2,100 participants. Registration is $115, increasing to $130 after February 20. Race organizer is Bill Burke of Premier Event Management.
