About This Race
The Myrtle Beach Marathon is a Boston-qualifying race along the Grand Strand coast, attracting between 5,500 and 7,500 runners each year since its founding in 1997. The 2026 edition features the inaugural Myrtle Beach Marathon Elite Invitational. The course follows downtown Myrtle Beach's main roads, passing through Market Commons, along Ocean Boulevard, and Grande Dunes Boulevard before finishing in the Pelicans Ballpark parking lot. The 5K distance is paused for 2026, with the focus on the marathon and half marathon.
