About This Race
The Phoenix Marathon runs through the Valley of the Sun in January — perfect desert winter running conditions with temperatures hovering around 10-18C (50-65F) with clear blue sky and the iconic Sonoran Desert saguaro cacti standing sentinel at every mile. The flat, BQ-eligible course winds through Scottsdale's resort district, along the Arizona Canal, through Old Town Scottsdale's western art galleries, and along Tempe Town Lake with Camelback Mountain rising dramatically across the valley.
