About This Race

The Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run is one of the most iconic road races in America, founded in 1973 as a precursor training run for elite Boston Marathon runners. The 10-mile course starts at the Washington Monument Grounds, circling the Tidal Basin and Hains Point, crossing Memorial Bridge, and running through sections of Rock Creek Parkway and the National Mall. The 5K Run-Walk takes place Saturday and the 10 Mile on Sunday, with a Double Blossom challenge for those running both. Entry is determined by lottery in January. The 2026 entry fees are $64 for the 10 Mile, $47 for the 5K, and $111 for the Double Blossom. Benefits Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
