About This Race
The Maratona do Rio de Janeiro is one of the world's most visually spectacular marathons, running along the iconic beaches of Rio de Janeiro — Recreio, Barra da Tijuca, Ipanema, and Copacabana — with views of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue. The point-to-point beach course finishes at Flamengo Park. One of the most unique and photogenic marathon routes on the planet.
