About This Race
The Shamrock Run Fest, presented by Toyota, is Portland's oldest and largest running event, celebrating its heritage as a community fitness tradition since 1979. The event offers five distances -- Half Marathon, 15K, 8K, 5K, and the Leprechaun Lap for kids -- all starting and finishing at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Founded by Steve Hamilton and now produced by Motiv Sports, the Shamrock Run is the third largest race in the Western United States, attracting thousands of runners and walkers each March to celebrate Irish culture and community fitness.
