About This Race
The St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Washington DC features a half marathon and 5K through the nation's capital with live music and entertainment around every turn. The 13.1-mile course passes by the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington Memorial Bridge, Rock Creek Park, and Judiciary Square, finishing in front of the U.S. Capitol Building on Pennsylvania Avenue. The 5K starts at 7:30 AM and the half marathon at 8:00 AM, both with a 4-hour time limit. Average air temperature is 48F (9C). Washington DC joined the Rock 'n' Roll Running Series in 1997, benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
